Hour 24: The Halfway Mark

Hello, readathon-ers! How is everyone holding up as we hit the midpoint of 24in48? I’m so impressed with you guys. It’s been an incredible first day and I’ve been having so much fun watching the #24in48 tag on Twitter, Litsy and Instagram. I’m almost having too much fun talking to ‘thoners – I’m losing valuable reading time myself.

What’s been your favorite part of the readathon? The books? The internet chatter? The snacks? Let me know in the comments!

It’s late night on the east coast so I’m heading to bed soon myself, but don’t forget, you can still enter to win a $10 gift card to Amazon/other book retailer of your choice/Starbucks by leaving a comment on the opening post by the end of the readathon.

  1. Loving all this dedicated reading time! I also love seeing all the different books being read 🙂 but jealous of the quantity! How are you people doing that?? I’m still reading the same book I started with!

  2. I only got five hours in during the first half, so I don’t think I’m going to make 24. I had lots of obligations. I did start and finish finish Anna Christie by Eugene O’Neill (LOVE his work) in audiobook form as I was driving. If anyone gets the chance, it is an excellent production, featuring Stacy Keach. Now I am working on finishing reading Brave New World. Two more hours should get it.

I just finished my first book! 🙂 I figure it took me about eight hours to read the 371-page Sorcerer to the Crown by Zen Cho. Not all at once, though, so eight hours is just a rough estimate.

Now I need to decide on what to read next. 😉

  4. I just finished my first book today and moving onto audio books a long one(fingers crossed) but I love that there is an army of others doing this at the same time, and quantity does not seem to matter as much! 🙂 This helps push me forward in my reading ALOT! LOVE!

  5. I think I had coffee too late yesterday because I ended up reading past midnight & only sleeping 4 hours! I’m positive I’ll have multiple naps today!
