Hour 33: Get Up and Move It, Move It

You wouldn’t think that you’d be sleepy first thing in the morning, but then you do the 24in48 readathon and you realize that you can be sleepy and/or hungry ANY TIME. So start your day with some simple stretches or a little exercise to get your blood flowing and help you stay awake and ready to go for the rest of the day.

Throw an audiobook in your ears and take a walk or run or do a simple vinyasa yoga sequence if that’s your thing. I like these if you’re looking for something new.  Whatever you do, I promise you’ll feel better once you’ve gotten your heart rate up.

Know what else gets the heart rate up? Winning some prizes! Here are a few more door prize winners. If you’ve won, don’t forget to go over to the Prize page and pick your spoils in the form.

  1. I’m not going to hit 24 by a long shot but I’ve super enjoyed this challenge and I’m excited about getting in over 6 hours yesterday I wouldn’t have otherwise. Thanks!

Ah, it feels good to stretch! Happy Readathoning to all! I’ve been reading a lot of nonfiction, so I may be ready for more fiction and mystery today. How about you?

    Have fun!

I’m being lazy and listening to my audiobook while playing Sweet Candies 2. LoL Was going to play Kinect with my kids this afternoon, and then had a headache so didn’t.

I just got in from a 3 mile walk with my audiobook… it’s ridiculous how hot it is outside already!

No exercise for me, even though I need it. Finished my 24 4 hours ago but can’t put this book down, so I’m still reading!

Stretched right into the ceiling fan. My fingers may never be the same. Low ceilings and ceiling fans are a dangerous combination in this new place. Safer to just read!

My audiobook kept me up late last night because it was so effortless to keep reading. But stretches are definitely called for this morning, as well as some fresh air.

  8. Stretched this morning before some quick spine poetry that I knew was a hair to late to qualify but I wanted to do it anything. I need to read about 6 1/2 hours today to hit 24–some of that will be audio soupmaking. 😀
