What’s your reading strategy for this weekend? Are you reading comics? Novellas? Short books? A series? Or one long doorstopper? I’m personally taking bites out of a few different books I’m in a middle of, plus an audiobook or two. Are you reading on a theme? From a set TBR? Or just whatever strikes your fancy? Need some inspiration? Check out this post I put up earlier this week.
Let’s give some books away, okay? Our next three door prize winners are:
Audra (Unabridged Chick)
Shawntaye
Ashley Rae
Have you checked in on social media with the hashtag #24in48? Don’t forget to cheer on your fellow readathoners this weekend.
And don’t forget to check the previous check-in posts from Hours Three, Six, Nine, and Twelve to see if you won a prize.
I’m mostly just working my way through a stack of library books and an audiobook, but I’m trying to mix short books of poetry between longer books. It doesn’t seem like there’s a theme, but maybe one will show itself!

I’m reading a couple books I started before the ‘thon, plus a couple that I want to read for the Book Riot Read Harder Challenge. I also tossed in a couple small less-than-100-pages things for fun.

I’m getting close to the 9hour mark! I’ve been reading short novels and now I’m listening to an audiobook ~ I’ve totally ditched my TBR and I’m just winging it. Truth though, I’m getting ready to call it a night.

I’m hitting my massive Goodreads TBR, trying to hit a couple of other challenges along the way. Not sure how many I’ll get done, but anything is better than nothing 🙂

I wanted to have a reading plan set up, but I’ve been so busy this week that I didn’t have a chance to come up with one, so I’m just winging it.

I’m mixing things up with The Selection series by Kierra Cass, a few audiobooks and a non-fiction book. I like to keep it fresh to not feel stressed out. I also might consjder a graphic novel to spice things up.

Reserved a couple of books at the library that I picked up this morning, both doorstoppers 😂. On top of that I read The Noise of Time today and a couple of archaeoacoustics reports (the most productive I’ve been in a while for my research project haha). Started one of the doorstoppers but moving onto a teen romance to get me through the evening. Also coffee. Sleep is for the weak and all that.

I am reading from a set TBR. I chose 4 books of varying lengths to read and I am only reading on at a time. Of course I chose the longest book to start reading first.

7 hours, 25 minutes in, and I’m reading a relatively big one, Steven Erikson’s Gardens of the Moon. Might need to go into the second book of the series to reach the 24 hour mark

I have a chunkster I’m dipping in and out of, a couple books of essay collections, a few graphic novels to try, & an audiobook for when I need to do life things (like cook). I also have two novels that I think will be quick that I may try to squeeze in, we’ll see what happens!

I’m reading some history books (because I adore history!), some YA because sometimes you just need something easy to read, and some mystery. Because I’m horrible horrible horrible at multitasking I have to read read everything. No audio book for me, because I wouldn’t be able to do anything AND listen to a book. Plus I find I enjoy the peaceful silence of a book more than anything else. I am able to hear and see and experience what’s happening if I read. Hope that makes sense. 🙂

My loose plan is to make some progress in a few series I’ve been in the middle of, as well as to finish a couple of books for my Litsy A to Z challenge. But I picked a huge pile of books and reserve the right to pick and choose as the mood strikes me!

I decided to join on a whim just before Hour 12, so I have NO plan whatsoever other than finishing my current read (Jasper Fforde’s The Eyre Affair). When I had to clean up, I switched to an audiobook (Mindy Kaling’s Why Not Me?), which is great. When I finish those two, I plan on reading a couple of smaller volumes, and perhaps a graphic novel or two.

I don’t really have a set TBR or anything this weekend. I’m really just reading whatever looks good at the moment. I’d like to finish books that I’ve already started rather than starting something entirely new, though, so I’ve got The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo on audiobook (and in print), a couple nonfiction books, and a couple books on my Kindle that I have about half finished. I’m just wandering between them, really. It’s nice, lazy.

I’m trying to finish up a doorstopper then on to an audiobook. After that, I think I’ll pick a book I’ve really been anticipating. (Not sure which one yet!)

I’m reading literally anything that strikes my fancy. Granted, I’ve only done 2 hours so far and both were spent on Felicia Day’s You’re Never Weird on the Internet, but they’ve been an enjoyable 2 hours! I’ll probably try to chip away at the other four books I’m in the middle of, too.

I’m planning to finish my current novel, LaRose by Louise Erdrich this evening and then see where my mood takes me. I was thinking about a quick, cozy mystery, but after the discussion from Hour Twelve, I may see if Hag-Seed by Margaret Atwood is available from my library’s E resources.

I never really have any sort of reading plan. Hmm… however, I’m trying to get through a bunch of books that I’ve already started. An audiobook sounds like a good idea too. Sigh. One thing at a time ☺

I was going to do just short story collections, but I have a few library books I also want to finish that are novels, so I’m swapping between them. Right now I’m doing a few chapters of an Ngaio Marsh mystery novel, before going back to more short stories.

I’m reading A Tale of Two Cities for the first time. It’s so good, but occasionally I’m taking a break to dip into the short stories of Difficult Women. I also read a super short novel (62 pages) this morning just to get warmed up. 🙂 Happy Reading! I’m headed into my fourth hour.

I had a very genre-varied TBR, complete with audiobooks to listen to while I meal prep for the week, but I’ve learned over my last few readathons that if you’ve planned to read a book and not really feeling it, pick up another one! You’ll lose your momentum if you start reading something you don’t love and then start drifting off.

I have a book and an audiobook to finish but decided to sneak Sleeping Giants in as well. I have a couple others I wanted to get through but haven’t figured out which one is next yet. I also have a few on kindle…I could do this for a week if life could stand still. 🤓

I’ve spent the last 11 hours reading Shift by Hugh Howey. I’m hoping to finish it before I go to sleep as tomorrow I start the Diverseathon and my final day of 24in48, so I have Lumberjanes volume 1 and 2 to read and The Book of Phoenix by Nnedi Korafor.

I didn’t make it to the 24 hours in the last readathon, so I’m determined to get there this weekend. My plan is to read more and check social media less. It’s hard, but I’m really working on it. 🙂 I’m also trying to power read late at night and early morning when it’s quiet. And my TBR list consists of books that I need to read for my two challenges this year: ReadHarder and Litsy A to Z. I’m also trying to read lighter and shorter books. Last year, I tackled Moby Dick and couldn’t make any progress. Okay, back to my book now. Happy Reading to everyone!

I made a big pile (I have a lot of YA that’s been waiting for me to be in the mood), one non-fiction (which I’m not much of a reader of) and an audiobook for those times when my eyes have to be elsewhere. No theme but a lot of diversity because I always want to read about a lot of different people.
