This hour’s challenge is all about book-to-screen adaptations. As much as we love the books, sometimes a story’s film version makes us equally all heart-eyes emojis.
Personally, I can’t get enough of the recent adaptation of Far from the Madding Crowd and my cohost Kristen brought me the prettiest UK edition when she went to Ireland last fall so I can finally read the book.

WOW — this is so hard for me — I love book adaptations. To pick only one is torturous. 😦 I learned years ago to judge them as separate medium and while I prefer when a movie is faithful to the book, there are always going to be differences.

Oh goodness. All of the Harry Potter books and movies, and yes, I own them all….despite the fact I’ve loaned out the books and they haven’t been returned. I may need to buy new ones.

Yes, my favorite book is The Princess Bride and I do own the movie. I read it in high school and loved it, I didn’t know it was movie til my mom told me about it.

Daphne du Maurier’s Rebecca’s was a total charm both on screen and in the book
